Should We Avoid Anthropocentrism? I propose to examine it from two sides: the first is epistemic and the second is practical. Epistemically: I think human beings are epistemically prior and superior to other living things. Especially in philosophical terms, our effort to understand existence in terms of being, our metaphysical thoughts, our ability to develop holistic perspectives on existence that is, roughly speaking, the development of abstract thought is one of the main differences between man and other living things.
